1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Reshuffl. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Reshuffl mobile application (the "App") and the website located at https://reshuffl.co (the "Site"), collectively referred to as the "Service," operated by Reshuffl ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
  • You will comply with these Terms and applicable law

We reserve the right to request proof of age and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.

3. How the Service Works

Reshuffl is a map-based social discovery experience. You explore people shown on a map near a location you choose to share. Key concepts:

  • Show up / Go offline — your location is not shared automatically. You appear on others' maps after you tap Show up (or save a travel or ghost pin, depending on your plan). Tap Go offline to remove your stored location and disappear from others' maps.
  • Map discovery — strangers appear on the map at approximate positions. You can browse profiles and view details when they are in range.
  • Unlock range — you can only send a connection request to people within your plan's interaction range (typically about 5 km) from your active location.
  • Locked profiles — profiles outside your unlock range may appear on the map but cannot be opened or interacted with until you are in range.
  • Connection request — when you tap "Can we speak!" on a profile, you are expressing interest in connecting. This is not a guarantee of a response.
  • Mutual connection — when both users have sent a connection request, a chat is opened so you can message each other.
  • Hear a Story — you may request a paid audio or video session with a story teller. This can be with someone you have not matched with in chat. Sessions currently require the same country. You are charged coins if the teller accepts. Call quality and whether someone accepts are not guaranteed.
  • Daily limits — the free tier includes caps on connection requests and other actions; paid plans may remove or raise these limits as described in-app.

We do not guarantee that you will receive connection requests, responses, conversations, or Hear a Story sessions. The Service facilitates discovery and communication; outcomes depend on other users and your interactions.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
  • Maintain only one account per person

We may suspend or terminate your account if information provided is false, misleading, or violates these Terms. You may deactivate or permanently delete your account in the App. Deletion is described in our Privacy Policy; some chat history may remain visible to the other person as a deleted account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Engage in unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent activity
  • Harass, stalk, intimidate, threaten, or abuse others
  • Post content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or discriminatory
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or age
  • Solicit money, gifts, or financial benefits from other users outside the in-app wallet and Hear a Story flow
  • Use the Service for unauthorised commercial purposes, advertising, or spam
  • Use bots, automation, scraping, or reverse-engineering tools
  • Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, servers, or systems
  • Circumvent location or interaction restrictions (including spoofing GPS to interact outside your range)
  • Abuse Hear a Story, coins, or withdrawals (fake sessions, chargebacks intended to keep coins, or manipulating accept/decline to avoid payment)
  • Record a call or voice note of another person where that is unlawful or without any consent the law requires
  • Upload malware or harmful code

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Users can report and block others in-app. We review reports and, when warranted, remove offending content and eject the responsible account within 24 hours. We also reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including content removal, reversing fraudulent credits, account suspension, termination, or reporting to authorities.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (including cover photos, profile photos, gallery images, tagline, bio, social links, chat messages, images, video, voice notes, and Hear a Story settings).

By posting content, you grant Reshuffl a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for operating and improving the Service.

You represent that you have the rights to all content you submit and that it does not infringe on third-party rights. We may remove content that violates these Terms at our discretion. Live calls are between you and the other user; we do not record them in our systems.

7. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

7.1 Free and Paid Plans

Reshuffl offers a free tier with map discovery near your stored location, daily connection request limits, and a typical interaction range of about 5 km. Additional features are available via paid auto-renewable subscriptions (Pro and Elite), billed monthly or yearly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Plan features may include map exploration (pan and zoom), travel location pins, unlimited connection requests, seeing who sent you a request, ghost location mode, read receipts, and other controls described in-app. Feature availability is described in-app and may change over time. Features shown in marketing are not a guarantee if they are not enabled for your plan in the App.

7.2 Auto-Renewal

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price displayed at purchase. The length of each subscription period (monthly or yearly) is shown in the App and on the store listing before you buy.

7.3 Managing Subscriptions

Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled through your device settings. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

  • Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle. Deleting the App or your Reshuffl account does not by itself cancel a store subscription.

7.4 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds are subject to their respective policies. Reshuffl does not issue refunds directly.

8. Coins and Hear a Story

8.1 Coins

Coins are consumable virtual currency purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. They have no cash value outside the Service, are not transferable, and may only be used to request Hear a Story sessions (and other in-app uses we may add and describe in the App). Prices are shown by the store for your country before you buy.

Unused coins are generally not refundable. If you delete your account, unused coins are forfeited except where applicable law requires otherwise. We may also remove coins credited in error or obtained through abuse.

8.2 Hear a Story sessions

When you request a story, you will see the teller's price in coins. You are charged if they accept, not merely because you sent a request. If they decline or the session cannot start, we will not keep that charge (or we will return the coins to your wallet, as implemented in the App). We do not guarantee that a teller will accept, stay on the call, or provide any particular story.

Microphone access is required for audio; camera access is required for video. You are responsible for how you behave on a call, just as in chat.

8.3 Story tellers

If you offer Hear a Story, you set prices within the ranges shown in the App. When a listener is charged, we credit your wallet minus our platform fee (currently about 20% of the listed coin price; we may change the fee and will show the current rate in the App). Coin purchases are also subject to Apple or Google store fees, which affect what listeners pay and are not an extra deduction we take from your wallet after the platform fee.

Withdrawals of earned coins are subject to identity and payout-account verification, minimums shown in the App, and the rules of our payout providers. You are responsible for any taxes on amounts you receive. We may delay, reverse, or refuse a payout if we reasonably suspect fraud, a Terms violation, or an error.

Offering Hear a Story does not make you an employee or partner of Reshuffl. You are responsible for your own content and conduct during sessions.

9. Intellectual Property

All Service content (excluding user content), including branding, design, code, text, and graphics, is owned by Reshuffl and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part without written permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including availability of maps, calls, or payments.

Reshuffl does not conduct criminal background checks. You are solely responsible for your interactions with others, including in chat, on Hear a Story calls, and if you meet in person. Always exercise caution. Do not share financial information or travel to a private location with someone you do not trust.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reshuffl shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including disputes between users or failed calls. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Reshuffl, if any, in the preceding 12 months (store prices you paid to Apple or Google are subject to their terms). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reshuffl and its affiliates from claims arising from your use of the Service, your content, Hear a Story sessions you join or host, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App. We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or to protect users or the Service.

Unused coins and subscription benefits end when the account is terminated, except as the store or applicable law requires. Provisions that by nature should survive termination shall survive.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in Indian courts, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring claims in your place of residence.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated in-app or by email where required.
