1. Introduction

Reshuffl ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Reshuffl mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.

Reshuffl is a map-based social discovery experience. Strangers appear on your map; you send connection requests when interested, and chat when both parties have reached out. By using Reshuffl, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account details (name, email, date of birth)
  • Profile information (cover photo, profile photo, gallery photos, tagline, bio, optional social links)
  • Messages and media shared in-app
  • Connection requests and chat activity
  • Verification materials
  • Subscription transaction identifiers (payment handled by Apple/Google)

Information Collected Automatically

  • Location data (only with your permission) — see Map Discovery & Location below for why we ask and how you control it
  • Device and usage data
  • Push notification tokens

Third-Party Sign-In

If you use Apple or Google sign-in, we receive limited authentication details only.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Operate and personalise the Service
  • Power map-based discovery — showing nearby people, relative distance, and which profiles are within your interaction range
  • Process connection requests and enable messaging between connected users
  • Apply subscription plan features (e.g. map exploration, travel location, ghost location)
  • Process subscriptions
  • Improve safety and prevent abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Map Discovery & Location

Why we ask for location. Reshuffl is a map-based social discovery app. Its purpose is to help you find and connect with people nearby — including people you do not already know — by showing profiles on a map around you. Without a location, we cannot place you or others on the map or show who is nearby to connect with.

With your permission, we use your location to:

  • Display your approximate position so you can appear to nearby users and discover strangers (and others) on the map
  • Place you on the map and show people in your vicinity
  • Determine which profiles you can interact with (within your plan's unlock range, typically about 5 km)
  • Show locked profiles on the map outside your range without allowing interaction until you are in range
  • Show other users an approximate distance — never your exact coordinates

Pro and Elite members may set a custom travel location or use ghost mode (Elite) to explore the map from a different pin. Your stored profile location is used for discovery calculations; other users see fuzzed map positions, not precise addresses.

Your choice. Location is optional. You may decline the device permission during onboarding or later and still use the app. You can turn location sharing on or off at any time in the in-app Settings. When you turn location off, we remove your stored location from our systems so you are no longer shown on other users' maps. You can also change or revoke location access in your device settings. Map discovery features that depend on location will not work until you enable sharing again.

We do not display your precise coordinates to other users. Map pins use approximate (fuzzed) positions.

5. Legal Bases (EEA / UK)

Processing is based on contract necessity, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligation. Location processing relies on your consent via device permissions.

6. Sharing Information

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with:

  • Other users (profile info and approximate distance only)
  • Service providers (hosting, maps, analytics, notifications)
  • Legal authorities where required
  • Business transfers
  • With your consent

7. Data Retention

Data is retained while your account is active and deleted upon account removal, subject to legal and safety obligations.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection. Contact support@reshuffl.co.

10. Tracking & ATT

No cross-app advertising tracking. We comply with Apple App Tracking Transparency.

11. Third-Party Services

Includes Apple, Google, cloud hosting, maps, analytics, and notifications.

12. International Transfers

Appropriate safeguards are used for cross-border data transfers.

13. Children's Privacy

Reshuffl is for users 18+ only.

14. California Privacy Rights

We comply with CCPA. We do not sell personal information.

15. Changes

Policy updates will be reflected by date changes. Material changes may be communicated in-app or by email where required.
